Kind of a rhetorical question, but in the age of fentanyl why the hell would anyone snort cocaine, which was already famous for being cut/adulterated.

The media has never been known to be intelligent, logical, unbiased, or subjective.

Stevenson is an English name and Putnam county is middle Tennessee.

So they agreed to help the local officials in exchange for faking their death and getting them out of trouble?

Would the cartels even feel the loss? If the couple had been good at it wouldn't the cartels just write it off as a business expense? They surely know that cops are the part of the equation they can't control.

No way. GD doesn’t leave the house without a full load out.  1 mag per isn’t enough to walk the dog.

To be honest, I doubt they would have gotten iced, assuming they didn't give up any info on the supplier. Shipments probably get lost fairly often, and the markup from farm to table is astronomical. That shit is cooked up by obese 35 year old Hispanic grandmas that are probably paid $5 a week. It's not like the cartel lost anywhere near that 3 million dollar amount.

Getting caught with illegal NFA items would likely result in you getting your home searched.

I’m not either.  I have some Scottish ancestry, but that is just coincidental.  Mine comes from experience with our so called “justice system”.  It would be nice if certain elements of the right and left that hate the police could set aside their differences for awhile.

If that’s the case, they should have been stopped at the border.  Can’t figure out their gun choices. If you’re a criminal, go big or go home.

I’m going with the old bait n switch.

Their shelf life and usefulness to the cartel had expired.
Cartel rats them out letting the police know they are transporting drugs.
Cops pull them over and have a shootout.
Large diesel truck load of drugs drives past without issue from distracted cops.
Standard cartel shit.

A friend of mine got caught with two kilos of cocaine he hadn't gotten to sell and didn't pay for.
He kept his mouth shut, did his time, and his suppliers did just write off the loss. Cost of doing business.
