Coworker educated me on quality headphones. Was using Bluetooth before
Weekends I spend a few hours each morning dedicated to tunes . What is my best option, or do I need a dac? Primary use a 2019 MacBook Pro or Mac mini 2018 |

I recommend a Schiit Fulla 3. |

WOW
lossless audio for the first time.... i can't imagine what it would sound like with a DAC.. i am getting the volume through the headset just fine on the highest quality settings.. do i need a DAC? |

Dragonfly red or blue dac. Can also,use it with the correct adapter with your phone.

I would say no, you probably don't need one if you're getting what you need straight from the mac. If you can get one with a good return policy, might be worth a shot to try and return if it doesn't provide any added benefit. I have one for mine because I primarily use mine for gaming and I found a dac that provide better spatial sound than the computer or game provides. |

I ended up replacing my 2018 MacBook Pro with a m1 14in
Still do not notice any audio quality increase with the settings all set to max lossless etc Probably will not even consider a usb c dac or similar at this point |
