Ok so a few changes and fixes went live today in the new push. Let's get right to it. Site Update =================== - Admin - Fixed bug with paging on search tool - Admin - Added thread abilities (tack, etc) inside a thread for ease of use - Admin - Updated user status page to correctly show status of new accounts - Fixed bug with the competition forum not opening properly (resource has moved error) - Fixed bug with EE ad bumps not showing properly when they can bump - Fixed EE search by state to show closed/sold ads properly - Fixed emoji's in messenger to work properly - Added emoji button for larger selection of emojis for messenger - Fixed bug with error message for sends - Fixed bug with login page that was randomly impacting folks - Added highlight banners to side menu for mobile devices (yes I know, who needs them, but we do and the ad display is much lighter on mobile!) - Fixed error handling bug in posting topics / replies - Fixed some older pages not using proper css/js CDN links - Fixed misc bugs in messenger - Fixed some error handling issues in forum pages - Fixed twitter issue with embeds with _ in the name - Fixed a minor security issues where user security was being bypassed during a file post (just wasn't locking down if you were allowed to do something during a post, very minor) A few misc changes and fixes to display items as well. SERVER WORK ============= - Moved DBs to new server group and updated to latest fixes - Patched for the intel bug (we did this a while ago, but never posted about it!) - Reconfigured our web server scripts to better handle load/cost (did this about a month ago and has worked great) - Adjusted mail server to better handle hijacked account spammers (higher throttling and spam blocking) - Change your weak passwords people! - Adjusted code to better utilize server resources and balance between memory and cpu (utilizing more memory and less cpu to improve performance) I think that's about it for right now. We are still working on the chat replacement and it should move to testing this or next week. We are also working on more fixes and improvements as we come across issues. Not sure what the next big addition is, so I'll have to see what fun new change is coming down the pipe next. |

This morning when l clicked the hamburger menu button, on my android tablet, l see a list of advertisers running down the length of the menu! That's awesome GB! I try to shop with our site sponsors first and that makes it so much easier to find them. On second thought, maybe that's not such a good thing. |

So the banner wasn't going away on my iPhone no matter how many times I reloaded or refreshed a page.
I wiped the cache as suggested in the other thread. No joy. Even turning off and then on again results in the banner appearing on the left side of the screen. So, in a thread they obscure a member's name and in the vertical position, obscure as well a portion of the text. Fix? JPK |

Something is causing your phone to not grab the new files, which is strange. The only thing I can think of is it's cached somewhere on a gateway for your ISP and it's sending you the old one.
I'm not sure what you can do if you emptied the browser cache and it's still grabbing an old file. |

Had to clear cache/cookies to remove the top to bottom left hand banner on mobile. Gtg now.

Fix today for the remaining old devices and browsers with the menu showing a bit on the left side.
Also updated messenger for the captcha check. The box is now next to the image to simplify things. |

Hi!
I can't seem to see the captcha when using the messenger. I'll type in the reply and hit send and get the error " Image Code Verification Failed. Please Try Again.". Am I doing something wrong? Tried on Chrome and Firefox. Thanks! |

Thank you for all that you do GB.

View Quote Can you try to shift+f5 or ctrl+f5 with the compose window open? It should display under the message window. |

Correct this is on desktop.
I tried shift F5 and ctrl F5, did not appear to change anything. Edit: I tried on Safari on my phone and am having the same issue. Can't seem to find the captcha box and image. |

OK should be fixed now. Found an issue causing a little chaos with the messenger.
