I had a Desert Eagle .44 mag for several years. It obviously was worthless for anything other than being a conversation starter at the range. The only thing's positive about it were that it was easy to clean, and it LOVED Winchester White Box ammo.
Don’t feel bad. I have been secretly wanting a Taurus Judge for a long time. Just too embarrassed to go through with it.
Not useless but just obsolete and over priced in today’s market.
Minus the Holosun. I can get a Shield Plus for what I paid for each of those two Makarovs. And a Shield Plus are about the same size, fires a more powerful (and easier to find) round, higher capacity, plus a better trigger and sights. Why did I buy them? Nostalgia, as my dad had one when I was a kid in the 90’s. And they are fun to shoot.

VP70. Long and heavy trigger. Egromics of a hi point. Pointless without the select fire stock you can't get in the US. Only good for showing up the Glock crowd with the true first polymer framed striker fired pistol.

I regret not buying one of those. I had many chances but couldn’t get past the trigger.

I love mine despite all that. Love the looks and the simplicity - and how many places can you talk about German engineering and simplicity with a straight face?
Wolff trigger spring makes it only a horrible trigger instead of an absolutely unbelievably abominable trigger. Still those Sci-Fi looks and an 18rd magazine all in the late 1960s early 1970s… it’s on my “never sell” list.
Oh yeah, the optical illusion front sight “blade” also - WOW!
