[Last Edit: Neez]
Does anyone remember the model names or part numbers for Bianchi or Safariland holster that would accommodate a 6" 686 muzzle down butt forward? Looking at used holsters on eBay.

Bianchi X15 is close.

I have one in my old holster box that I never use

Edit.  Not sure that may be for semi autos

Edit 2 looks like for both types

I have an X15 that works for both a 4" Smith .357 Magnum and my 5" SA Mil-Spec.

Which size is your holster?  Med?  Large?

It's buried in my holster box in the back of the walk-in storage area so I won't be getting to it right away.
But, I did a quick search on the Bianchi leather site and this is what it ended up with for the both the SA 1911 5" and S&W 686 4":
SKU: 1015612   PART: 12361   MODEL: X15

I was just curious to help the OP.

Mine is a large and is for a 6” or 8” L frame, I’m not sure how deep into the holster the gun is supposed to fit.  A 6” K22 fits deep in the holster

Mine was also buried in the holsters (that I never use) box.  It wasn’t deep in a closet, but only under a desk
