I know there's debate whether to change springs or run it stock, that's a different conversation. I've decided to give it a try and I'd like to hear about peoples experiences with different kits. Thanks.

I have the Apex kit installed on mine.  Trigger pull is better, but I've had some issues when shooting handholds with hard primers.  Factory ammo (Speer 125gr +p) has been fine.

I’ve had great results with the Apex kits in three J frames,  a 642, a 340 and a 3” PC model 60.

Spring kits on J frames are hit or miss.  Some work great, some giive light primer strikes.   Doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason.

The apex duty carry kit with firing pin and spring has been great for me.

While you're in there debur the hammer strut and smooth the block the holds the trigger return spring with a stone.  There used to be a YouTube vid on what to smooth/polish inside a SW revolver action.   My 342 with apex spring kit has about a 7.5lbs trigger.

Apex kit in mine caused light strikes.  Removed springs and replaced with factory ones.
