Reading up on it. Considering it for my USP40.
Does anyone here have any practical experience with it? |

Would be awesome if HK made a USP 10mm.

I’m very interested in this.
Several (like 6-7) years ago, I really wanted one. I looked into it and didn’t find anything. I then sold all my 45s, and the ammo and went all in 9mm, 10mm and 357 magnum as pistol rounds. I also discovered the 45 super and how the HK 45 caliber pistols could easily handle 45 super. Check out the ballistics between 45 super and 10mm. I’d still do this if available. Just a couple of thoughts. |

I talked with Michaels Machine and he still has some of the USP 40 to 10mm barrels available. I did drop a 2011 style mag into the gun and it just looks like it needs a spot milled into it for the catch. I was also reading that HK45 10rd mags also fit well. I have an idea to make mags work and it involves cutting up some old steel beretta or Jericho 10rd mags to slim the feed lips and hold the 10mm correctly. What magwell work did you have to do to get it to fit? This would be the potential host. |

I have +3 .45 extensions which give a total of 18+1 10mm I forgot about the 2011 mags - they will work if you cut that mag catch, and your jetfunnel will cover up the overhang Stainless USPs are my favorite, and a .40 stainless is somewhat rare so I'd only recommend trying the 2011 mags |

Wouldn't a .40 Super conversion on a USP .45 pistol make the most sense if you wanted to sling 10mm buulets very fast?
Just a barrel and springs. |

I have one built on a usp 40.
Bored the stock chamber to 10mm auto specs. Uses hk45 (not usp 45) mags with the elephant foot base pad. Hkpro has several older threads on the different ways to do this conversion. |

How much is the MM 10mm barrel?

back when the USP .40 police trade in guns were super cheap, I thought about buying one to do a 10mm conversion. I should have done that. If I find a really cheap one, I still might do the same, but otherwise I'll stick with .45 Super as previously suggested.

There is no reason to convert to 10mm. Just use 45 Super. My dangerous game area hiking guns are either a USP45 Expert (5.2" barrel) or USP45 Elite (6.0" barrel) loaded with 13 rounds of 255gr HC/Coated 45 Super.
Big medicine for bad things. |

I would like to have a 40 Expert to round out my "Expert Collection". The 9mm Expert is the most fun, but the 45 Expert is my "trail gun" and it is thoroughly comforting while in "dangerous predator" areas (loaded with 255gr HC 45 Super). |
