I’m debating on getting a Glock 40 or getting a Lone Wolf 6”/9” drop in barrel for my Glock 20 for 50/70 yards deer hunting. Do you really gain anything?

I suspect 60-80 FPS difference between a Glock 20 and Glock 40 with the same ammo.   Here is a link to a thread on GT forum where someone posted a lot of 10 mm chronograph results.

You are not going to gain much with the longer barrel. You hit the deer in the right place and velocity isn’t going to matter much.

Thanks for the link. No real world difference.

Also if using a red dot I don’t think the longer barrel serves as much purpose.
I’m setting my G20sf  up with a rmrHD.Will hunt with it.

I’ve heard that some states require 6-inch or longer barrel lengths for hunting large game. I don’t know specifically which states do, though.

ETA: IIRC, the source of this information was a Hickok-45 video on 10 mm Glocks.
