A screw for the after market optic mounting plate sheared off on my 22lr.  How do I remove it without stripping the threads?

I believe the screw it is a T10.  It is a proprietary screw to the mount.  If I strip it, I can not use something over sized later.  The screw was initially secured with Blue Loctite when optic was installed three plus years ago.  20,000 to 30,000 rounds have gone through the pistol since.

I am carpenter, not a machinist.  I have a drill press.  I am not opposed to taking it to a gunsmith.  I would like to try it myself if feasible.

Heat?  Drill with undersized bit?  Tap to clean up threads?

Heat and a micro screw extractor. Don't cheap out on the extractor.
