I was just looking at the Razor Gen III 1-10 and am seeing an MSRP of $3599.99. It was $2899.99 not too long ago.
I realize Brandon is driving the train off the tracks but come on, a $700 increase from just a few months ago? @VortexOptics @VortexSam |

Getting ahead of the expected inflation to come I bet. Most hasn’t hit yet. Up prices now so those that start scrambling to get physical objects don’t bat an eye during the coming panic.

Yeah prices on Primary Arms just went up $600 for a now outdated Gen II 4.5-27 and they dropped the 3-18. They're now in ATACR price ranges and I'd rather get those since they're priced similarly. So much for picking up one of each for two bolt guns.

I understand the price of oil, metal, shipping, etc have gone up but a $700 increase just like that seems crazy.

You guys can't be serious.
We printed over 30% of all US currency in existence in the last 18 months and there's shortages of everything. |

The past few years have presented some unique challenges for not just Vortex, but companies both within our industry and elsewhere. With rising material costs, supply shortages and inflation all playing a large role in our daily lives, you may have noticed a price increase for certain Vortex products. We are paying close attention to all the factors listed above, and as things change, will continue to do whatever we can to always put the customer (you!) first and maintain both the quality and service you've come to expect from Vortex. Most of all, thank you for being a part of Vortex Nation and for your patience always feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!

View Quote @VortexOptics - I understand the world situation right now but this thing leaped up +$700 overnight. That just does not sit right with me. I have two AR's with Elcans on them. I bought one of these to T&E to see if I wanted to switch over to LPVO. It looks like that is not going to happen. |

I was going to get another Razor in anticipation of building a 1-mile gun later this year. It was a decided done deal... but now I’m shopping around and maybe leaning towards the new big VX-5HD or maybe the monster Sightron 5-40x FFP SVIII. Maybe I can find a used Razor on the forums for what I was going to pay previously. |

Yeah you just don't see other optics companies raising prices 40%, I'm sure they've all had the same issues.

I was JUST ABOUT to Purchase a Vortex Razor Gen 3 1-10x MRad. I selected it over the Nightforce ATACR 1-8x because the cost difference would have enabled me to also get a good Badger Mount, RMR, and Reptilia mount for the RMR, at basically the same price.
Then I saw the HUGE price increase (when I went to PURCHASE a Razor 1-10x)! I thought something must be messed up, so I went to another website to buy one. Nope... every site I checked had this new ridiculous price! This new price ($2500) is almost as much of the ATACR 1-8x ($2800)! Surprisingly, Nightforce hasn't raised their prices like Vortex has. I'll be blunt... YOU JUST LOST A SALE VORTEX! I'll be buying the Nightforce ATACR 1-8x instead of the Razor Gen 3 1-10x. I prefer the illumination controls & extra 2x of magnification on the Vortex... but not THAT much! |

I purchased a 1-10 from a local shop for less than 2K not that long ago. It may be worth a call? I thought they had a bunch in stock?

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and promoted by mainstream media which holds forth the premise that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end.

Well my Nightforce ATACR 1-8x just arrived.
And I couldn't be happier. The design, construction, and performance leave nothing to be desired. THANKS VORTEX. Your Loss (of a customer) was my gain. |

The price increase drove me away from VORTEX and back into the arms of their competitors.
My industry is experiencing shortages (material and labor) as well as cost escalations, but we would be out of business if we dropped Vortex and LaRue level overnight cost increases. |

In the firearm industry, a price increase of 15% is considered to be huge. Most price increases are between 3% to 7%. 40% is unheard of.
