You have a lead on where any of this is in stock?

I love the 77 grain cbc... Shoots just as well as black hills in my opinion

SGammo has the 5.56 & Sportsman's Guide has the .223.

oh gotcha, just haven't seen any cbc in stock, like, within the last year it seems

well, I shoot the 77 grain CBC .223 and REALLY like it. I shoot it out to 600 meters consistently on steel and it shoots 1.0-1.5 MOA pretty much all day for me out of a PSA .223 Wyle 16 inch barrel.

I shoot Black Hills Mk262 as well and produce about the same results, although getting 1.0 MOA out of that stuff is more regular, but honestly, 1.5 MOA consistently has always been good enough for me under practical conditions

Looks like you are paying pretty much the same amount, so I would go with the 5.56 stuff personally, as I would like the extra velocity.

I bought the .223 CBC from PSA when it was 30 bucks a box and got free shipping, so it was a great deal for me.

I'd get the 262. There's a huge velocity difference there. If you're gonna stretch out past 400 that velocity will really help you with drop and wind.

If you're shooting inside of 300 I'd probably just step down to the 69gr Sierra, or closer than that maybe the 52gr matchking.

Wait, they have both .223 and 5.56 variants? This news to me. Is the yellow box and the green and white box to differentiate them? Because my new order from Arms Unlimited is green and white while my two older lots are the yellow box.

What are you trying to accomplish.  Accuracy?  Hit's at a longer distance?  in the 77 muzzle velocity makes a huge difference down range assuming it is grouping.

I use magtech 5.56 77 gr otm out of a 18inch green mountain barrel 223 Wylde chamber. At 100 yards I'm averaging 1-1.5 moa sometimes under.

Ive shot it out to 700 yards but hits arnt consistent. 600 I can get good hits on a 12inch plate.

I'm getting 2700-2750 fps at sea level out of my barrel. I'm thinking about getting some imi 77gr to try because of its higher fps.

I shoot Magtech 77grain out of a 20 inch wylde at 1000 frequently.  Best bag for your buck but 100 inches windage at 1000 in a 10 mph even w the fastest 77 you can buy or reload makes hitting at 1000 a challenge.  Fun though.  I cannot reload nearly as fast as the CBC.  Love it.

2870 fps from my barrel!

Ive shot thousands of 75 Hornady from 2700 to 2900 fps and it does not come close to matching long range performance of the 77.  Not that the 77 Sierra is all that great, about .190 real world BC.  77 TMK barely better. But its fun to bang steel at such long range w an AR.
