I’m looking to pick up my first wind/weather meter, and was wondering what might be a good option in the $200 price range or under. Not looking for anything fancy at this point, just something to dip my toes into some more advanced long range shooting. Thanks

Keeping your eye on eBay is always another option. I just got a Kestrel 4500nv for $175 that was in practically new condition.  But if you want new and make it basic, as a backup, I keep a Kestrel 1000 wind meter in each rifle’s DOPE book.  They have an MSRP of $89 making them as an excellent backup wind meter in case my 4000nv or 4500nv aren’t available or dead batteries, etc.  they are also a way to get into reliable and accurate wind meters at a very affordable price.
