The hardest part is always making the time and getting started. The pace is a blessing and a curse. Why would you ruin the pace because you just don't feel like doing something? At the same time, sometimes, I just want to do nothing. |

I think I'm now gotten used to the 5 reps I added to my closed-hand pushups....so now I'm doing 15 x 3, 2x a week....
I still am getting used to the 15 dips I do at night on the bed... Not sure if I wanna add more pushups right now. I kinda want to move up my 8 pound weights to 10 pounds...starting with one workout I do on Wednesdays....Will probably start in May. Right now I have some pain (again) in one of my shoulders. |

Nobody move, nobody get hurt...I don't discriminate, I hate everyone equally... Me, myself and I - that's all I got in the end...Graduate from "Petty" University.

Hernia surgery recovery is complete. Ended up being almost 6 weeks with no sets.

The good - I started the day with a continuous set of 100 reps. Thays a first.
More good...I fasted 20 hours (for some blood testing) and before I broke my fast I did a 2 mile run. After the run I did a few more sets of pushups. Got to 350 but that's all I have for today. Going to call it a night and take a rest. Back at it tomorrow. 47,515 YTD |

This morning was for Murph prep.
Did all the following with 20 lbs in my rig: 56 pullups 200 pushups 90 squats That extra 20lbs makes it a lot harder than I thought I have a month to get there. At this point I know I'll finish....just not sure how long it's going to take. I'm sure at least a few hours...if not several |

Staying healthy is a bigger deal. Don't chase today what will cost you tomorrow You put up insane numbers...telling you to not overdo it is useless...but seriously, don't cause real damage just to chase an arbitrary number. View Quote Honestly....this thread saved my life....and that isn't me being superfluous. Before this thread I was the heaviest I had ever been at any point in my life....was drinking pretty much daily....was smoking daily...hadnt exercised in years. My last bloodwork (from 2 years ago) came back with all kinds of red flags and I simply ignored it, and continued a downward slide. I had given up. In four months that all got turned around...all because M4ger asked the question...am I willing to commit to just 100 pushups each week. I have limited my drinking....I smoke way less....I work out every day...I've lost almost 40 lbs now....I'm running again....and most importantly, I got bloodwork done last week and no major red flags at all....cholesterol is even lower. Thanks to all you guys posting....the support, encouragement, and friendly competition has been amazing. I appreciate each of you. Wish we could all do a meetup at the end of the year to celebrate. |
