Great looking rifle! Any issues running the Kahles? I just purchased a 1-6 (and ADM mount) for my 17.

Thanks! I just got the Kahles set up and haven’t made it to the range yet. But I don’t expect to have any issues since I have not had any problems when using a high quality scope and mount. I’ve also tuned the gas system on my SCARs so that the carrier isn’t battering the rear receiver plate.

Is the 20s substantially lighter than its competitors? I’m in the middle of my mws build but shot a 17 the other day and was shocked how light it was. So i wondered if that carried over to the 20S.

Looking at its competitors the MARS-H DMR, KAC SR-25 PR, LWRC REPR MK2 20", and B&T APC308 DMR all come in right around 10.5lb. The Tavor 7 with 20" barrel and Robinson XCR-M come in at around 10lb. A bit of that weight comes from the SSR stock that comes on the 20S, though. Remove that and add the 17S stock and you'll shave a little over a pound off and get the weight down to what the MARS-H DMR, APC308, etc, are. |

I did a thing. Place holder for pictures.
The release of the 6.5 DMR pushed me past my point of resisting getting a 17S. Found a “like new” Belgian in FDE. Next step is to get a DMR swap the barrel and NRCH internals. Then form 4 and buy a 13” 7.62 barrel and finally decide on an optic. |

Stamp showed up a few days ago, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Previous owned had it gassed at PMM but I don't know what size they went with, so the discarder may be superfluous. ETA my only frustration so far is the ergonomics near the muzzle. Thiccc handguard + lack of mounting surface area makes for a lot of fiddling. |

Found a good deal on a Belgian Scar 16S now I’ve got to let my FDE XCR-M and Crusader Templar go to make room.
