 Gettin in shape

So I was in acceptable shape a few years back, but unfortunately since I started working EMS I have gained weight. Im a big guy with a big frame and muscle, so numbers dont bother me, but I got fatter.

Ive done P90x, didnt like the dude, he pissed me off.
Insantity, I love, good shit, but an hour is pretty long to workout, and sometimes I dont have the time.

Well my partner and I decided we need to get back in shape, (work partner that is). So we started our own work out, and I gotta say its working good.

We start out with 30 minutes of jogging at your own pace. Get the blood flowing.
Then we go circuits.
We started out with a timer doing 30 second intervals at 4 stations. An example would be 1st station step ups, 2nd station push ups, 3rd station situps, 4th station something cardio like suicides. We did 30 seconds at each station, and 2 times around non stop. Decent workout, then we'd change the exercises and do it again.

After a week we decided to step it up. Now were doing 7 stations, 2x around, 3 seconds per station. Its a good workout. We worked in curls, and forearm workouts, and shadow boxing.

So we changed it up again. MUSCLE CONFUSION!! Well main reason was we didnt have the interval timer which I run off my laptop.
We went to 10 rep sets. We set up cones the distance of the garage (ambulance bay) about 7 of them spaced out maybe 5 yards.
1st station is 10 dumbell curls. when you finish you sprint to the end and then back to station 2. At 2 it was something else 10 times, then sprint to the end, and then back to the next station, yatta yatta yatta.
The point, your going non stop, 7 stations of 10 reps from everything from curls to 1 legged squats, with cardio in between every set. Yeah, its a bitch. Plus I decided to do it in body armor.
2 sets of it and I was spent. Cant wait to do it again.

But anyway, in addition to that, we've also been hitting the weights at the gym, and I've been running a lot on the tread mill. I gotta say after about 2 weeks, we can both see/feel results.

Any ideas would be awesome. Oh and were eating healthier too. We've been going for fish and chicken over red meats. And we motivate each other, For instance he loves to eat candy, and every time he goes to buy candy I make fun of him for it and tell him he doesnt need it. He gets pissed but in the long run he appreciates it.

Like I said I have a large frame, and I have a pretty good amount of muscle. I just need to lose fat.

Any tips would be appreicated.

The only thing I read was what you had in bold...don't fall for the hype...like one of our boys said "my muscles get confused every time I throw 300+ pounds on my back. Lift heavy shit and do something for conditioning. 5/3/1 NOV or crossfit + some strength training will.get you there. Its.been a long day....sorry if I sound pissy

What I like to do is tell my muscles we are going to go bench but then I really go squat. They are all like, "What's going on? I thought we were benching but you have a bar on your back. I'm so confused."

If it's working, keep it going. No sense in fixing something that isn't broken.

Im being sarcastic with the muscle confusion,

Although I do find that your body does get used to things and you need to change it up.

Next time Im gonna get my muscles REALLY confused and show up to the gym drunk
