is it possible to have a hernia....
at the exact height of your belly button, and 6" right of it?
Or are hernias always lower, around your groin area?
I had a stomach pain shortly after doing dead lifts tonight, i have a small lump in that exact spot, BUT that lump MAY have already been there. I have had a couple skin cysts that werent visible in that area in the past, you could just feel them.
there is no lump sticking out of my belly, but I can feel one if I squeeze the skin / body fat.
I got a little nauseous afterwards but that may have been just panic / worry / making myself nervous...

that only lasted a few minutes. Im hoping I just pulled a muscle or my weight lifting belt just dug into the area
Hard or soft lump?
In either case, I would see somebody.
Wife had one in the same spot. Had to have surgery to fix it. Mesh implant.
sounds like a lipoma if it's only in the skin/fat . Valsalva or cough... does it get bigger?...
Hard lump, doesn't get bigger when I cough, Sharp pains when driving just now when I would hit the brakes on the car and jerk forward. When I cough my boys raise up as normal
last question i can ask to help ya out––
Grab the lump––- does it feel like it's stuck in place, but floating in your skin/fat?... or does it feel stuick and anchored.
It could be a direct hernia... but as mentioned, w/o seeing and feeling it myself, I couldn't say for certain.
Make a doc appt.
Can't move the lump around really. It doesn't push in and stay in like I imagine a bulge doing. I'm 70% sure the bump was already there but the pain makes me second guess that. I'm hoping I just pulled a stomach muscle
day two- still painful when moving certain ways. no bulge.
You can have a hernia where you are describing.
Initially some hernias bulge out under stress- coughing or straining but do not stay out all of the time.
See a doctor for an accurate evaluation.
the pain is down to about 10% of what it was the other day. Ill try to make it in to a doc, lack of health insurance and over booked work schedule... FML
There are multiple types of hernias. It sounds like you have a Umbilical hernia.
I just had a double inguinal hernia at the beginning of this year. Go to the docs. It will probably require surgery. They put a piece of mesh in for one of my tears and sewed the other one up with stitches.
FYI. Mine cost around $30K.

Good thing I have medical insurance. Out of pocket was around $1k.
so......... pain in random areas now, but ive been working my ass off cutting down trees. it hurts in areas away from the bump, like the side of my ribs, etc.
I had to get my commercial drivers license / DOT physical / health card renewed, and I didnt tell her about this issue. she did a hernia exam, checked my breathing, pushed on my stomach and the whole works- and didnt notice anything.
I dont know if I had told her about this if it would void my health card, and if it would have, I am completely out of work, cant afford a doc appointment / surgery then right?
So i am still wondering if its just a torn ab muscle. if its still a problem on monday then I will see a doctor about it specifically. I wont be working the next three days.
update- I finally went to the doctor- specifically for this issue. my stomach hurt like hell today even though I didnt work. must have just tightened up from not moving so much.
shes convinced its nothing more than a strained ab muscle. the bump that i mentioned earlier she said is just a cyst or something.
so, im alive.
