I have a PS3 and I lose connection to host all the time when playing Black Ops Zombies. I read that I need to change from a NAT3 to NAT2.
I have a Cisco e3200 Router.
Tried several guides online with no success.
NAT types are as followed.
Type 1: Connected directly to the modem without any firewalls or routers.
Type 2: Connected via router that is properly configured to allow needed ports, and or UPnP on both ps3 and router configured.
Type 3: Connected via router that is not properly configured or DMZed.
How do you change that? First, try setting up UPnP on both the PS3 and your router.
PS3:

Router:

If UPnP does not put you into Type 2 and fix your issues, go here and follow the steps in this guide to setup a static IP for your PS3 with every port properly forwarded.

This will require you follow the guide to the T, and to know what your router IP is. On your computer you can find all of your IP's listed under: windows key + R > type cmd > type ipconfig at command prompt.
Once you do what the guide tells you to do, by setting up this static IP and forwarding all the ports on your router that it tells you to, your type will either say open or type 2.
