I think the ATA133 HD on the wife's old computer is starting to go. A new computer isn't in the books right now, am I better off looking for an ATA133 replacement (a cursory search shows they're getting hard to find) or can someone more current on what's available suggest something better for that interface? TIA!...

Western Digital or Maxtor. Seagates have been unreliable in my experience. The best bet would be a SATA controller then buy a SATA drive. The controller has its own bios so no worries about capacity recognition.

Newegg still has
a few drives available.
Look locally for used drives too. Craigslist, etc.
Thx, guys! I just ordered a new WD from NewEgg (didn't care for the refurb stats), I'll install it next weekend.
