Ok I am having a small issue with Chrome and I am not sure if its something I can fix through Chrome or if I have a virus or something. Every time I click on the chrome pinned icon I keep getting the new tab page and not my homepage.
Anyone know if this is something I can fix through Chrome? Full disclosure I had downloaded something earlier for my brother and removed it once he decided he didn't like it. I'm not sure if that would have caused this or not. I had one issue trying to remove a program when my uninstall button stopped responded and I hit it multiple times. My Norton Security suite picked it up and claimed it was a virus. I read the details on it and it mention uninstaller and something else. I know its from where i hit the uninstall button multiple times like an idiot. Anyways I did a restart and finish removing everything associated with the program that was no longer needed. I have had no issues with slowdowns or any kind of popups of that nature. So I'm not sure if its a virus or not. I did a malware bytes scan to I might add with no hits.
Its just this one problem and I am not sure if its something with Chrome or if its a virus. Can I get input from you guys...and keep it simple computers are not my thing >_>
Un pin it and re-pin it.
Sounds like you have pinned a shortcut to a blank page, and not Chrome itself.
Hmm that was odd. I seem to have fixed it. On the startup option it just had the option to open a new tab and not my usual homepage. I went on ahead and fixed it. I seem to have no issue now. Possible uninstalling or having trouble uninstalling a program not related to Chrome could have anything to do with this?
I ran malwarebytes and found nothing. I'll get superantispyware sometime tomorrow. No issues though. I guess I got nothing to worry about.
