Applying for WOFT in the Guard.

I have recently put my packet in for active duty and received a fully qualified not selected status. I have been told that since I already have a completed packet that I can apply for the National Guard and would have a really good chance at getting selected. The thing is I just don't know how to go about doing this. I live in a crap town and the guard unit here is in transportation. I have talked to a guard recruiter but she told me that the Guard does not have helicopter pilots. If anyone has any suggestions on what I could do or someone to contact to help me get things going I would be very appreciative.

Your state has an aviation unit. RAID units are everywhere. Not to mention run of the mill lift units.

Though if your FQNS you may want to apply again next selection board. If the NG does pick you up, you may be stuck doing nothing while the guy in charge lets his brothers and cousins fly every other day.

Dont give up on the active duty side, but in the interim you can probably apply for units in multiple states.

I just don't know how to find any aviation units. I have goggled but can't find any states around me. I live in Georgia and I have looked for info on the states surrounding me but found nothing.
