just watched that Tom Hanks movie "The Polar Express" with the kids....
.....for the second or third time over the last couple of years. Incredibly deep movie for a children's story. I've really begun to see it as a Christian faith allegory that works quite well......anyone else think so?
yes the polar express has become family regular Christmas movie.
son had it on a while ago we (mostly he & mom) were decorating the tree, he loves it

On a side note- I had stopped in a local ER while at work, they had a tv on in the break room, & I got talking to an employee there about kids & Christmas shows.
He was talking about his young daughter sitting with him, wanting to watch the "regular" Christmas movies - he was basically complaining about her wanting to watch
them, (essentially messing up his TV time)
He probably didn't expect my response...I basically told him (not being rude or disrespectful), that before he knows it, she will be a teenager and not want to have any
movie time with him. I said "we" need to appreciate these times..before we know it, they will be gone.....
(and he acknowledged - yes, his 14/15 yr old daughter will not have anything to do with him, unless she wants something)
Appreciate times with your children & family.
yes same here, its a regular this time of year...
