Mexican president unveils ‘No More Weapons!’ billboard on US border

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico — President Felipe Calderon on Thursday unveiled a "No More Weapons!” billboard made with crushed firearms and placed near the U.S. border. He urged the United States to stop the flow of weapons into Mexico.
The billboard, which is in English and weighs 3 tons, was placed near an international bridge in Ciudad Juarez and can be seen from the United States.

The best way to stop the violence is not stop the weapons, but stop the cartels from making insane amounts of cash off the illegal drug trade.
I think his billboard should read "illegal drug users: please stop paying murders, thanks-Mexico."

I've seen photos of some of the seized weapons and there were machineguns, hand grenades, rpg's etc. All Class 3 stuff highly regulated stuff if it is in the U.S. not your average gun store gun. While I have no doubt that some guns taken in burglaries are traded for drugs, I have to believe that the vast majority of weapons in Mexico came from some other source outside the U. S. because of the type of weapon. The U.S. has supplied M16 rifles to many other countries and those are the weapons that have trrned back up sold to the drug cartel. If we wanted to end the war on drugs just legalize the drugs regulate them and handle it as a mental health issue where addicts have to register to obtain what they need. This has become big dollars on both sides of the law the cops sieze funds and assets of dealers and file forfiture to keep the money. The money drugs guns power are all linked toghether somewhere the chain has to be broken and we simply are not willing to execute everyone caught with drugs so legalize and regulate them to suck the money out of the drug trade. They could not control prohibition either, but they sure enjoy taxing liquor.
What the hell do I care what Mexico says?
Keep the illegal aliens and drug dealers on your side, and they won't be able to bring stolen/illegal firearms back in to your shithole, no job, crappy economy, third world country.
The Bandito Mexican President blames his problems on the US 2nd Amerndment and then the next day inside one of his prisons a gang kills 44 other gang members using a Mexican sharp knife. I suggest the bandito Mexican President starts an anti-knife campaign within Mexico. Mexico, you can keep your drugs and I'll keep my firearms.
Sounds like Mexico has a border problem they need to work on.....
