How concerned are you with appearance?

For keeping birds off of the top of my sailboat mast, I bolted on a short length of metal spike bird control strip.

Something like:

Exactly what they use on lots of outdoor aircraft that sit on static display.

In for info.

My lady is having the same problem while she is at work. She can look out the window to see a bird flying back and forth between her mirrors. It leans down and under and pecks at its reflection. . . Also shits 5 times a shift.

Shes drives a brand new 2012 Hyundai though, so bird spikes are going to be out of the questions

Mousetraps with tape wrapped around the catch part.

You lose one on occasion but they soon learn........

I had a cardinal earlier this year that loved hanging out on the mirrors of my vehicles. Birdshit everywhere

I haven't seen him in a couple of weeks, so hopefully the little bastard is crapping on someone elses car.

We've got a redwing blackbird at work that does this.

Fold your mirrors in.

This:
Or make some mirror mittens as other people have done to solve the same problem.

I made a perch out of PVC with a mirror on it, hoping the bird would like it better than my car mirrors.

He didn't
