Toyota owners...how many RPM's in "overdrive" at 60 mph?

So I have this MR2 with a 1.8 and a 5 speed.

Apparently, 5th gear is supposed to be an overdrive gear...but the RPM's are up around 2,500 ???

The clutch is not slipping. I was wondering if this is "normal", as all my V8 cars with OD seem to be around 1,700 rpm at 60.

Your thoughts are welcome.

Torque and HP curves. That 1.8 probably makes almost no power at 1700RPM. I can see 2500. My malibu (V6) does under 2k at 60. My pickup with 7.4V8 does 60 at about 1400RPM. If you know your tire size, rear end ratio and tranny ratios you can calculate the theoretical engine speed.

My wife's truck is an automatic (4-speed with O/D), but with the cruise set at 69 the RPM is 2200 or so.

Edit: That's with the V-6.
