Is it possible to paint over powder coating?
We have some exterior fencing material that we want to freshen up with some rattle can paint. It is way too ornate to sand by hand as it would take way too long to do the amount that we have. I did try a chemical product that did slightly roughen the coating but after a primer and then paint I could still scrape it off with a finger nail.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
You can test different paint but in general paint will never stick to PC good enough to be durable.
My cousin owns a Powder Coating shop, most of his fence customers use tractor implament paint, they say it holds up well on places they have to grind or weld.
