Working for Boeing?
Anybody have any experience (particularly engineering in St. Louis)?
I've got a friend who may have an opportunity to work there...believes they're somewhat interested in him. Supposed to be bringing him out for a plant visit.
Any information would be appreciated. Just trying to give him an idea of what to expect.
Boeing is a good company to work with lots of opportunities. I've worked for them for 24 years in quality engineering.
AeroE (aviation forum mod) may have more input in the aerospace engineering end of it.
I work in St. Louis.
What degree does your friend hold?
As far as expectations, that all depends on the specialty and the program. Engineering is always busy and we have several projects underway in addition to F-18 and F-15 production.
He's got a degree in aerospace engineering, I believe the position he's looking at is in design/manufacturing engineering.
Thanks for the responses.
He can email or call me if he wants some intelligence on the jobs.
I'm currently working in Engineering on the F/A-18 E/F program. Couldn't be happier! Great people to work with, awesome benefits, and cool projects. Almost everyone I work with are NRA members, so plenty of people just like me!
