If you liked World War Z, check out Robopocalypse by Daniel Wilson

This is a scifi novel that is getting a lot of attention right now. Spielberg has already bought the movie rights and will be directing it for a 2013 release.
It's a very similar format to World War Z, with each chapter being told from the point of view of a different survivor. The plot sounds like a hundred other books and movies (powerful AI computer takes over all electronics to wage war against humanity) but the author has a PhD in Robotics and creates some fascinating robots that are designed to kill, enslave, and terrify humanity. It isn't just a Terminator retread, there are tons of terrific action scenes and firearms aren't the only weapons we turn against them. Highly recommended if you're looking for a good action scifi novel.
