What’s going on guys? What are some good oven slow cooked rib recipes? I do not have a grill or smoker at the moment so I’ll be using slow cooking at least 3 slabs of ribs in the oven.. I also need a good recipe for bbq sauce. I do have a crock pot but 3 slabs of ribs will not fit inside there.
Thanks in advance,
Joe
Put ribs in a baking dish and cover them with sauce. 350 for an hour and a half or so. Place ribs on a cookie sheet and stick 'em under the broiler for a few minutes to crisp 'em up a bit.
Eat.
Nowhere near as good as actually BBQ-ing or smoking them, but actually not bad.
I love ribs. but,I can't seem to be able to find a way to make them in the oven that is satisfying. I would love to be able to throw ribs in the oven and not have to fire up the grill and tend to it for half the day.
Great thanks guys..
ANY rib meat cooked in the oven, gets the "low and slow" method of cooking. LOW heat, and LENGTHY cooking times.
We do a rack of baby back ribs at 200-225 for three hours. Add sauce for last 30-45 minutes. They will FALL OFF THE BONE.
Beef ribs, get 300 degrees for 3-4 hours. I have 10 beef, short ribs in the oven now. They've been there since 3pm, and will be there until almost 630.
Then they're getting a red wine reduction sauce/gravy.

made some a few weeks ago.
Rubbed, ribs down with generous amounts of Dillo Dust. Wrapped in foil and set in fridge over night.
Preheated oven to 250, then put ribs(still wrapped in foil) in oven, for 4 hours or until whole house, began to smell like ribs.

Remove from oven, unwrap, coat with mixture of Jack Miller's(local BBQ sauce), Jack Daniels BBQ, honey mustard and Tony Chachere's seasoning.
Put back in oven, uncovered. Cook @350 for about another 1-1 1/2 hours.
Remove from oven and enjoy.
Thanks guys! They sounds great! Can't wait to give it a try...
