 Whole butchered Hog recipes

I found a guy near me who is selling hogs that he raised now I'm not sure of price or how its butchered but I'm looking for some recipes and ideas on what I can do with some of the parts! Yes I'm going to smoke the Hams and try to cold smoke the pork sides (Advice on this would help) So if anyone has ever bought a whole hog before please help me out! Also what is a good price for a butchered whole hog? Just so I'm not being taken. Thanks!

If it was a whole pig not butchered into parts I'd agree!

If its butchered into parts then just cook them like you normally would. I would find out if he cures any of the meat. As for price I bought a 320lb hog about 6 months ago for 250$ that was in east tennessee.

Any cuts of meat you specifically asked for? Im about to have a pig sent to the butcher, but am not sure what to request.

Love my Caja China.. Just picked it up this past weekend.. I can't wait to do a whole hog.. Actually there great for chickens or anything that will fit in them.. !!!
