Put in a good word for Doc Watson
The man is a living legend and incredible player. Made the bet of the cards he was dealt to become a true master.
Good Luck Doc!

Doc Watson died today.
I am lucky to have seen Doc perform in Atlanta, back in the early 1970s.
RIP sir, you were one of the best.

Damn.
This isn't a good year for musicians.
WAMU Bluegrass Country rocks...
They've been playing some all day.

Heard about him passing away first thing this morning, since my alarm clock is tuned to the news station. Hell of a way to start the day.

Wow, that is a punch to the gut. The idea of Merle and Doc jamming together again makes Heaven seem like a better place now.
R.I.P. Doc.

RIP Mr. Watson...Earl and Merle are waiting to greet you.

Huh? I thought this was about Windows errors....
R.I.P. Doc
I found out last night, about 20-mins after Doc passed. I had the honor and privilege of working with Doc many times in the 90s, both as an engineer and (a few times) as a musician. The man was simply inspirational. Wise, funny, gentle. I could go on and on. I and my wife loved him dearly. He will be missed.
Today, I'm going to start going through all of my old tapes from those days and archive all of the Doc Watson/Chesapeake shows that I recorded back then. Bittersweet....
God bless you, Doc!
