I have stepped on a guy's foot to keep him planted when I throw a combo. Old trick, use a slide-step and pin the foot. They want to step and slide back but have to slip back instead, now they are stood up with nowhere to go except a bob.

Didn't see the fight...but the link you mention has him with a 'twisted and swollen' ankle. Turn your ankle (sprain) hard enough, and the peroneus brevis tendon will cause an avulsion fracture of the 5th Metatarsal Base.

He cranked his ankle pretty good. The judges in that fight are the ones who really deserve some broken bones.

I have a buddy that broke his foot stepping down off of a curb. Jones fracture. It just happens sometimes.

When Manny was giving him one of many good poundings, he stumbled back and tweaked his foot. I still can't figure out what fight those judges were watching because it certainly was not the same one i was watching.
