Ideas for a new purse.

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up really fast and I finally got the hint that she wants a new purse, she's been living out of various Wal-Mart specials for the past couple of years and I want to get her something nice.
Her only requirement: it has to have a zipper opening.
any suggestions?

They're nice, but not really her style.
Maybe something a little more dressy, i was thinking of getting her a coach bag, but I didn't find anything on their website that might have had a zipper opening.

Go to ROSS or a similar store. You can get really cute designer bags for $25ish. I like XOXO purses, but they have lots of brands.

My boyfriend has given me 2 different Coach purses over the years. My favorite thing about them is that they can go casual and also with nicer outfits.
I think this is the size you might be talking about. Don't get intimidated... the more reasonably priced ones (~$200) are about 3/4 of the way down the page. Sometimes you can find 25% off coupons too.

Do you have a Coach Factory Store nearby you? They have purses that were from "last season" that are at discounted prices. I think they're typically discounted by around 30%. You can defintely find one in your price range there. I'm a Coach addict, so I would definitely suggest going with that if you want to get her something she will adore. A lot of their purses do have zippers on the top, so you shouldn't have a problem there. If you're good with spending $200 you could probably find her a little matching wallet too 
I have some that I got 3 years ago that I still use. They last for a long time, which kind of makes the price seem a little more reasonable.
