Any Detectives or Cold Case Investigators Here?
I'm trying to dig up some info on a heartbreaking 30 year old case for a relative. The statute of limitations has long since expired but it would mean the world to her to get some closure after all this time.
I'm no detective, but I've been able to dig up more info than I would have ever thought possible but now I'm at a standstill and could use some advice. If anyone here has the time for a couple answers it would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't get any answers, shout. I had to do two years old cases in the Navy; one was theft, the other was more of an accounting of material decades old. Further, academically, I had to examine one a century old.
Now hopefully someone else is going to pipe in. I don't have official resources and any data out there not in the public view I can't access.

Just to be clear, I'm not asking for anyone to do any investigating for me. I'd just like a couple pointers on how to proceed from where I'm at now.
