Cross-post from my NRA Activism Thread.....

Sunday Hunting Regulations

Currently 11 states (Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia) have such restrictions or prohibitions that date back to "blue laws" enacted in the 1700s.

Executives from America's leading conservation, sportsmen's and hunting organizations have announced the formation of a new multi-organization coalition to remove bans and restrictions on Sunday hunting.

Let's get more involved .....TODAY!

Should anyone have any questions....please refer to the link below or as always, send me a IM.

Lift the BAN!

They face a very very up hill fight on this one. WV especially, I'm not sure how I stand on it either, on private land I don't see a problem, but in state and federal lands I don't really agree.

Just my opinion, not really for or against it.

Growing up in PA., I just accepted, without question, that you didn't hunt on Sundays but after leaving along long time ago and have lived out west for more than 2/3's of my life and can hunt on Sundays, why wouldn't you want to. Hunting comes in very short spurts in relationship to the rest of the year, so why not take advantage of it. For my family, it puts us more in the field together, my wife comes along at times and my mother in law use to make it a point of coming out during a season to help out. Some laws should be put to rest.

We changed the law here in New York a few years back with great success. Given the demands we have with family and our employers, it's certainly nice to have an option to go afield any day you would want during the season. I'm all for it because it sustains our hunting heritage.

Why should you have any say in what I do on my private property on Sunday? Why is it different than any other day?

I was talking about allowing it on private property.... I don't care what you do on your property.

Nat forest and other public gov land I'm not sure about....

I am curious as to your objections to hunting on public land on Sunday?
