My lovely bride is getting the itch to go somewhere tropical in the next month or so to go after some bones. Looking for inexpensive yet fun and maybe a little resorty just to satisfy the girl in her. Anyone have some good recommendations? We're kinda thinking Nassau and/or Andros. Thoughts?

I think from the Keys you can do sea kayaks for bonefish, if you're up for something that requires a little more effort. I saw it in one of the flyfishing glossy magazines a couple of years back, but I've never gone.

There are some bonefish on the Sea of Cortes side of the Baja Peninsula of Mexico. I went to Cabo San Lucas last spring and tried, but I think i was too close to the Pacific because the surf was pretty rough for wading. Further north along the coast, like La Paz, is supposed to be a fairly well-kept secret for bonefish with the added bonus of roosterfish.

Andros is bonefish city!!Florida keys are loaded too.You can walk from shore in the Keys and catch bones and not spend a fortune on guide and boat.Bahia Honda park is a good place and pretty.

We did some design work for the fort on Dry Tortugas and ever since, I've wanted to camp on the island and fish. Are there flats there for wade fishing or is it strictly a watercraft endeavor?
