Ho-Jo motor device as power supply
Anyone ever put together a Howard Johnson perpetual energy device , and tried to power anything?
I've watched a few video's on them, and they look very interesting. I'm curious as to wether they really work, and could be usd as a viable supply of power after a disaster ; or even to get off the grid.
Personally, I believe a perpetual motion machine violates the laws of thermodynamics.... however, I am not a scientist.
I have seen quite a few websites that say it works and offer to sell you one.
however,

I also think if it actually worked to provide free electrictiy, the President would be all over it and would probably get elected President for Life.

We built one when we went off grid and haven't needed to use solar or burn any fuel at all. We run our electric furnace from it and 3 air conditioning units in the summer.
Really big ones.
There's still plenty of output from the HOJO to convert at least 100 gallons of water a day to elemental hydrogen and oxygen and compress it into large cylinders.
What we don't use cruising down mainstreet in the Ferarri, or on trails in the Hilux, we sell to our neighbors for half the price of equivalent BTU'S of diesel.
Selling so much fuel has made us wealthy and there's plenty of fuel left over to fire up the Leerjet and fly to gunshows.
We're planning to build two more HOJO's and put the local power company out of business...
We're just getting warmed up.
Say, how much money you got right now? I'm sure we can fit you in sideways somehow to get a kit once you wire us all your $$$$.
Be sure to wire it to our Nigerian account that I'll forward immediately.

You guys are bad!

That was good Expy
As cool as it is to disconnect from the grid; it is kinda a PITA to have to run the heat & A/C at the same time to soak up the excess production.
My neighbor has one too, with the same energy surplus problem, and just installed a new service panel to run a 7 HP fountain pump for the pond out front. I'm not too crazy about the fountain running all the time, but it got me thinking. Right now, my favorite option is setting up a pool of molten rock just for the fun of it.
With a couple more generators onboard, I think I my be able to pull off a magma moat around the house.
My experience is similar to EXPY37's, except better. In fact, I was finally able to ditch that crappy Carnot engine.. Who needs 1-Tc/Th when you have perpetual motion? My only regret is not switching sooner.
My PV system pulled in 19.2 Kilowatt Hours yesterday, and 16.5 KWHr wednesday.
Real genuine Silicon is available NOW.
American made modules are wholesale at a buck twenty a watt, xhinese are 99 cents.
You can have these shipped NOW, real genuine Solar power almost as cheap as diesel.
My family and my friend's family switched over recently. So far I have been amazed. We had my boss over last weekend for steaks and now he wants me to look into purchasing a few for work and applying them to our process. Looks like a raise and promotion for me!!
If you believe the HoJo generator/motor is anything other than a flat out scam, please enroll in a basic physics course at your local community college, and make sure it is one that includes the topic of "conservation of energy" and thermodynamics.

Why are you trying to suppress and discourage this tremendous advancement in ALTERNATIVE energy production.
Don't like GREEN and Obama?
You'll see, when someone installs one near you!

Pipe down, Buzz Killington. What do you know
KS_Physicist ?

Ok , got it, stay away from it. Thanks.

I just got an email from Nigera offering me to invest in one....only $10,000 to get in on the ground floor
The HoJo motor, as i understand it, works... on a very small scale, i.e.: enough to run a small electric toy car (think cheapest Wally world remote control car). Anything bigger and you get extreme diminished returns.
Its not free energy, it works on magnets (cue ICP pic here), and will run out... when the magnets lose their magnetic field in a few thousand years.
Someone will be along to show my ignorance and idiocy, but if you want to have something more out of it than a little toy to sit on your desk and spin something, you are dreaming.

yeah, with a screen name like that he's probably a poser.
