Anyone using their cleaners, waterproofing and leather oils? Saw these at the farm store and was wondering if it would be good on hiking boots.

Many other treatments will end up weakening the leather over time.

I just use the leather oil.

It really depends on the type of leather you're putting the treatment on. For boots, use the LP. Work boots are typically oil tan leather, and lighter leather treatment oils can cause them to stretch and become "spongey" feeling. Vegetable tanned leather's don't seem to be quite as finicky about the leather treatment used on them. Other brands of leathercare products I've used and really liked are Ray Holes Saddle Butter, Ray Holes Boot Wax (for waterproofing, and the Chap Wax is the EXACT same thing. I've been in the building they make the stuff), and Skidmore's Cream. Skidmore's has become my favorite, and a favorite of several saddle makers that I know and trust. Infact it's all I've been using trying to put some moisture into a circa 1918 M1904 McClellan saddle I recently bought with great results.
I have been using Pecard's leather treatment products for decades with excellent results, both on daily use leather and on collectible items.
For all I know, it may be identical/very similar to Obenauf.
