 Growing wheat, harvesting by hand...

So, this past fall I tilled up some food plots for deer / turkey along my driveway. Each one was about 8' x 250'. It was planted with a mix of wheat and clover. Fast forward to now, and here is what it looks like.

So now, just for grins and a good learning experience I'm thinking on doing a little SHTF hand harvesting when it gets ready...anybody ever done this?

Yep, I've done it. Harvesting/cleaning by hand isn't too bad for smaller quantities.
I can't recommend this book highly enough:

Small-Scale Rain Raising by Gene Logsdon

A copy of this should be on every homesteader's/prepper's bookshelf.
