Please help me find this Survival Fiction story....

The main character was a conservative or liberterian State Representative or State Senator in California. He lived up state and when the Stuff HTF, he bugged out to get back to his wife and kids, dodging FEMA along the way. The family meanwhile lived in a walled neighborhood and I remember during some gunfight with raiders, a car driven by some of the raiders crashed through the wall and ended up in a swimming pool. There was also an older Israeli lady in the neighborhood who took on the duties of sniper as she had been in the IDF during some war when she was in her early 20s. I know it's not much, but it's some of what I can remember. Thanks in advance!

Wow Ive read a lot of SHTF fiction and I've never heard of this scenario/ story. Looking forward to the answer.

I KNEW I knew what it was but couldn't remember it. I kept thinking about it while doing housework tonight and suddenly it came to me - yeah, it's a good read. Here's it over on Amazon.
