Was driving around yesterday on some errands and saw two very large groundhogs in a farmer's field about a mile from the house. It has been unseasonable warm around here (was right around 70 and has been in the 60's a lot lately). I think the animals are thinking it's later in the year than it actually is. I found a freshly dug out g-hog hole in the corn field I hunt during the summer as well. It's usually another month/month and a half before I start seeing heads poke out of holes.
I don't think they ever went away here this winter. We had so many warm days that it must have kept them confused.
The groundhog in my yard was out yesterday.
So what'd ya shoot it with?
