Best shot for turkey?
Whats the best shot (4-6) for turkey? I'll be using 3" shells in a Mossberg 835
you really have to pattern YOUR gun to see what works best with it. Not just shot size but also brand of ammo.
My Mossberg 935 paterns best with 3 1/2 inch reminton #6 shot. YRWV
I use Federal Flight Control 3.5" #6's with a Kick's Gobblin Thunder choke out of a 28" Benelli SBE II.....#6's are what i prefer because the don't tear the bird up too bad but still provide a clean kill....just my opinion.
I use either 5 or 6, depending on what I get out of the safe.
Never had any trouble with either.
