 California Pig/Boar hunting?

I am very interested in hunting pig/boar and would love to hear from someone that actually hunts pig here in California.

What I'm interested in is a fair chase situation or more importantly to be able to help out a rancher/farmer that has a pig problem on their land. I wouldn't mind paying for that privilege. I'm in SoCal and willing travel anywhere in the state. I'm not that interested in a pay per hunt type ranch where they stock the pigs. Shooting fish in a barrel (or around a feeder in this case) does not appeal to me.

If anyone with experience in CA pig hunting could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer

ranchers with pigs lease their land to guides, and guides require exclusive access.

the only way you will legally get on a working private ranch with pigs is family, friends, or a guide.

I tried, years ago, that's what I learned.

the best deal on fair chase I know of is twisselman outfitters, I hunted with them twice, excellent value. the real deal, they have an active ranch, and control the pig problem with guided hunting.

tejon ranch has decent hunting, fair chase, you just have to pay for access. the success rate is nowhere near as good as a guided hunt.

good luck!!

Native Hunts in the Hunter Liggett area has access to some nice areas in the Priest Valley near King City. Saw plenty of turkey as well.
