Was watching Discovery and saw the preview for the new episode coming up next Wednesday, looks like they're building a suppressed SBR .458 Socom to hunt some Hogzilla. Lets hope they don't build it with a dremel tool, hacksaw, and that other tool with the mohawk.

I was was thinking the same thing. I'm sure it will be the latest and greatest.......even though some of us have had one (or two) for years.

Agreed. This setup is exactly what I want.

What can is that on there and what are the

This is a (eddiebuilt) from reciever mods, bolt mods, Barrel extension mods, chambering 9 1/2" length 1-14 twist, and a Form 1 can. I have a build thread over in AR, 308 and varients. I built this for mainly sub-sonic use and it does a number on hogs.

I had the privilege of firing Fritzcat's weapon at the arfcom shoot at Mickey's back in October 2011.

Mentally, I expect to get hammered by anything 458 and was not hammered.

It was suppressed with sub sonic bullets.

The sound of the hammer hitting the pin made a louder noise (literally) than the 458 sub sonic/suppressed firing the round.

Experience left an impression in my brain.

That was not so bad. Other than making a big deal out of building an AR...drama...

Watching someone actually SHOOT a hog on Discovery was new, for me anyways.

Anyone else notice stories on .458 ARs in a couple of the rags this month? Obviously a conspiracy.

Which stock was that?

At least the hog didn't BLOW UP!

Everything else they shoot does.

It is because the hog would not stand still long enough for them to cram all the tannerite needed into its rearend!!!

I can't speak to the hacksaw, but they did dremel up the feed ramps...
