Caliber
ok, you're hunting from a blind in south texas about 100 yards away from the feeders
your choices are
AR15 in .223 which you shoot pretty well
bolt action 7mm-08 (which is effectively a .270win) which you don't shoot all that well.
M14 in .308, which you shoot pretty well, but iron sights only
or
............................
thoughts? choices?
Ar in:
458 Socom
6.8 SPC
5.56
110 TSX in 6.8 spc. THe special purpose is killing hogs.

The AR will do the trick on any hog walking with proper bullet placement.
Why do you have a problem with the 7mm08?
I've never had one, but my BIL and one of my friend's dad both had a Rem 788 in 7mm08. I really like that gun.

Use what you're comfortable with. I've dropped many a hog with 55g to the neck.

This.
223
bolt action 7mm-08
Logic forces me to respond with: Use the .223 since you are most comfortable with it, but the 7mm-08 would be my first choice for caliber.
You don't say why you do not shoot it as well as the other two, but since you don't, skip over it.
The .308 is open sighted....so you are at disadvantage there (especially in low light).
Conclusion: .223 and pick your shots, or learn to shoot the 7mm-08 better.
Best of luck on your hunt.

DITTO
I would like to some day hunt hogs from a blind and the weapon that I would be using would be a 1895G with 430 GC cast bullets. I know it may be too much gun but...... I would really like to use my Bushmaster BAR10 in 308, but can not bring it through Canada.
Bottom line use what ever weapon you are most comfortable with.
UPDATE
the 7mm-08 rifle is fucked up.
I finally brought another couple rifles and I built nice groups with them
that 7mm-08 puts the 1st one high and centered.
the 2nd shot 6" right and centered
the 3rd shot 6" right and 6" down.
4 straight times it did this.
I switched to another rifle and built a nice group
so, fuck it
I bought a Daniel Defense 6.8SPC
it's on it's way, should be here monday and time to go get it sighted in.
back in the 70's twas into fast-draw & black powder, actualy still am.. had gotten a .45 Kentucky, me pard & i went ta gravel pit ta test it out...fired a round, missed, me pard didn't see where it hit.. handed him rifle he shot, miss, didn't see were it hit.. not ta sound to modest, we both were pretty acurate, fast drawing ya learn Kentucky english quick... any ways, grabbed the rifle, loaded aimed, me pard, said, whoow.. looked at him said what? he said look down the barrell.. frustrated, said, am looking down the barrell.. he politley said forget the sight's, look down the barrell... the barrell twas warped... returned rifle for new one.. back on target...

Great choice.
You have lots of good bullets to chose from. Se which of these the rifle likes the best, and hit the hogs in the neck.
Try:
85 TSX SSA tac load
95 TTSX SSA tac load or WC ammo
110 TSX SSA tac load or WC ammo
110 Nosler AB from SSA
120 Hornady SST
any of those, well placed, will dump them right there
