Thinking about using 85 grain Nosler Partitions (6mm)
Going to the Hill Country end of May/1st of June. Last time I went, I was shooting 69 grain sierra's in my .223 AR Varminter platform with no problems.. My son is going this year and is shooting his 6mm with handloaded 85 grain Nosler Partitions.. Any experience/issues with this weight of partition on hogs?
For me its my 25-06 with 100 grain partitions.
I may get howled down for this, but my guess is that 85 gr. might be a bit on the light side.
Its up to you. Some people are really into velocity. I myself like the balance of the two. I like the 120gr Nosler BT. The lightest was 95gr, but I like the 120's more
