I heard something awhile back about an AFG that attaches straight to a MOE handguard. Did, or will this ever come to fruition?

Not really a fan of their VFG's.

I am by no means an expert, but I don't believe they released an AFG for the MOE. You are pretty much stuck putting a rail section there, then installing the AFG2 on it.

A MOE AFG and/or MOE handstop would be pretty sweet.

take a standard AFG and trim down the ribs on either side for the rail interface. Drill a hole for a bolt in the rear opening and wherever you want towards the front. A lot of guys do this to get a very low pro mount on say a TRX extreme handguard or the MOE. It does away with having to add that half inch thickness of the rail and ends up way more comfortable for side / top mount pressure pads, etc.

This is very intriguing. Would you happen to have any pictures of this process or the updated AFG? How does it look and work on your MOE?

Thanks,

I was just going to ask that same question. Hope something comes from this.
