Well, I do have one that will fit, I tried an a1 from a retro build and it looks like that grip will make it on,
however my magpul moe or miad's dont even come close to getting started, and i have various a2's that i have collected over the years from various makers, PSA, colt, armalite, dpms, stag,
and none of those a2 grips will fit flush with the receiver, I can get them started but after about 3/4 of the way they won't go any further, even with some gentle love from a rubber mallet
I have a caliper and can post specs, but this seems waaaay off to me.

Aside from sending it back to CMMG, you could simply file off some material to make them fit.

true, but i tend to switch stuff around often,
so not being able to switch grips with this gun vs my other ar's would bug me

I've never run across this and I've built somewhere in the neighborhood
of 50 lowers. I wonder who made this lower for CMMG. There have to
be more out there. It would severely bug me too. Call CMMG and see
what solutions they can offer.

My A2 pistol grip was tight but it went on.
Definetly sounds out of spec. CMMG should take care of you.
