ACR Shell Deflector
Are there any other choices for a shell deflector for the ACR? I was shooting an enhanced model the other day and all the empty cases were hitting and landing on my right collarbone shoulder area. Yeah I'm a lefty, Looks like it would be easy to swap out with something that could give a lefty better shell defection.
Be glad they're hitting your shoulder. I am also a lefty. When I shoot Monarch/Academy steel cased I get smacked in the cheek every other round. Other, higher pressure ammo doesn't have the same result. Try a different type of ammo.
You can try a rail mounted brass deflector. The match rifle folks have a few different models. I bought one from Tactical Tailor awhile back that's a little pricey but I like that it is spring loaded to open up to clear the rifle out should I need to.
Yeah I was thinking a hotter load might eject better. I still think the current deflector is to shallow for us lefties and BM or somebody could offer some different types and heights as well. The rail type at Tactical Tailor looks like a big mother!
