Went to the gun show today to trade my PSA carbine stock for an A2 stock and was "informed" that the PSA was "Chinese junk" - so, how much "Made in America" are we getting?

So, how was it determined it was Chinese?

He pointed out differences in style between the PSA and the "surplus" stuff he was selling. None of which prove anything. But it made me curious. That's why I'm on the Industry Forum asking a direct question.

I'm speculating, but I would expect that the PSA barrels (most are from FN) are made at the FN plant in Columbia, SC.

It was a gun show guy telling you this.

Anything he isn't making money on is "Chinese junk" if you ask him.

Tag for an answer from the horse's mouth.

Clearly he wasn't thinking about this PSA? Is there another PSA in China?

The stock and buffer have the logo on them.

FWIW, back when I bought my middy kit the description said it had 100% US parts. I don't see that on their site now though.

"Our A2 Stock is made here in the United States to current mil-specs right down to the metal plunger in the buttstock door."

Also, WTF is a carbine stock for an A2 stock?

Everything is 100% made in the USA, and then assembled in our facility by American citizens.

The gun show crowd is the biggest source of misinformation in the gun world.

I already knew it was all made in USA, but this makes me happy.

Part of the fun of going to gun shows is hearing what stupid crap some people will tell you.

One of the last ones I went to, there was a guy wearing a bunch of 5.11 clothing that was talking about how he's not allowed to have his hands in his pockets in California, 'cause they are registered deadly weapons. He was being serious.

PSA is 100% US made (as others said).

Gun show people are MORONS (not all, of course, but enough that you can't trust any of them).
.
But I think he might have been thinking of Primary Arms (PA), which is at least partially made in China.

so he mixed up PSA and PA and thinks he's a damn expert.

buy PSA with confidence.
