Their latest internet ad showed they got some WWII P-38s in stock. Not knowing what to expect I took a trip down to 200 Business Park Boulevard in Columbia to check them out.
Upon arrival I was told by one of the newer guys they were out of them.
"Wait, your ad only came out last night and you're out of them?" said I with more than minor trepidation.
And then Joe came to the rescue!

Seems they were out of what they had on display in the glass case.
Anyway, I asked Joe if I could look at a couple of pistols and here is what he brought out:

Well did you take the trio home?

No, but I did lay them away.

Panzersergeant didn't get them all.

The Fernandina store has about three shelves, three pistols each, of the P-38s in the display case.
beautiful......... I love P-38's, if thoes pistols could just talk
But what's up with the triggers being in the single action position like the hammer were locked back but the hammer is really down...... ???? It just looks odd, it's because of the decocker isn't it, I never use the decocker.....

When the safety is engaged the trigger moves to the rear of the trigger guard.
I've always liked P-38s. If Carl Walther had designed this pistol with a double stack magazine there would have been no need for the Beretta 92.

I have always thought the bretta 92 was so similar to the P-38 that they could be brothers, or at least cousins. There are just SO many similaritys between the two. I'm suprised it's not the Walther 92.
